Emma Hospelhorn is an American musician[1], collaborator, teacher, and researcher based in Chicago, Illinois. She released a "scintillating solo debut as Em Spel" in 2022, and is a member of Dal Niente, a "new and experimental music in ways that redefine the listening experience and advance the art form".

With a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ms. Hospelhorn previously was a member of the pop-punk girl group the Hollows[2], and has contributed to "Music helps patients with dementia connect with loved ones[3]".
