Emma Sheela Pijnenburg (born 13 September 2004), is a New Zealand professional footballer who currently plays for the Wellington Phoenix, and the New Zealand national team.
Club Career
Youth Career
Pijnenburg played for local Auckland club Western Springs, starting from the age of six. [8] As well as playing for Western Springs, in her youth Pijnenburg was also selected for the Auckland Football Federation women's team[9], and the Futsal Ferns training squad.[10]
Feyenoord
In the European winter break of 2023, Pijnenburg was signed by Dutch club Feyenoord[11] . The midfielder was signed on a two year contract, and made her debut for the club on the 17 February 2024. [12]
Wellington Phoenix
On the 29th of December 2025, it was announced that Pijnenburg would be joing the Wellington Phoenix with immediate effect. She was signed on a contract that would see her stay with the club for the remainder of the 2025/26 A-League Women season.
