Emmadi Chikkarayala Naidu, aka Immidi Chikkarayala Naidu, is one of the Zamindars who ruled Chowdepalli and Punganur areas of Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh between 1601 - mid-1800 centuries. The Immadi clan belongs to 'Kamma clan'. His ancestors led many developments and initiatives for the public. He built Abheestada Mrutyunjeyaswara Swamy Temple in Chowdepalli, as Lord Shiva instructed him to find the idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvathi Devi, and Lord Ganesha. The temple later became very famous, and devotees visit from nearby villages and neighboring states of Andhra Pradesh. It is believed that someone who performs deeparadhana seva for 42 days will be relieved from issues by Lord Shiva. Mahashivarathri festival is celebrated very gloriously every year.
