Emmanuel Arnaud
Emmanuel Arnaud (born March 30, 1980) is a French entrepreneur and CEO of HomeExchange.com (formerly GuesttoGuest).[1] He is the President of FrenchTech Boston.[2]
Biography
Emmanuel Arnaud is a graduate of HEC Paris business school and the Harvard Kennedy School (2008).
As a student, he co-founded Ghonsla, a company specializing in sustainable insulation solutions in Pakistan[3]. Arnaud then combined sustainable development with travel when he created a point-based system to organize non-simultaneous housing exchanges.[4]
Arnaud founded GuesttoGuest in 2011 as a flat organization to drive sustainable growth.[5] In 2017, GuesttoGuest acquired U.S.-based HomeExchange, becoming the world leader in the home swapping market, with more than 400,000 homes globally[6]. In 2018, FACCNE named HomeExchange "Company of the Year" within the Medium company category.[7] HomeExchange was recently included in the French government's list of the hottest French startups called “Next40,” highlighting key players in the tech startup space.[8]
Arnaud is a frequent keynote speaker and panelist at various travel and tech events, including the FrenchTouch Conference, VivaTech, the Digital Travel Summit, and Station F, as well as at his alma mater, HEC Business School.[9] He is the recipient of leading French travel industry publication Echo Touristique’s “Person of the Year 2017” trophy.[10] He co-authored France's first textbook on sustainable development – Le Développement durable, Repères pratiques (Sustainable development, practical reference points, 2005).[11]
Arnaud is currently based in Cambridge, Massachusetts with his wife and four sons.
