Emmanuel Iren is a Nigerian pastor, author, public speaker and business administrator. He is the Lead Pastor and founder of Celebration Church International, a church with campuses in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Canada.[1][2]

Early Life

Iren was born on the 18th of December, 1989 in Lagos. He received his early education from Saint Bernadettes Nursery and Primary School, Ipaja, Lagos, Queen’s Choice Nursery and Primary School College, Ikotun, Lagos and thereafter at Doregos Private Academy.

Iren is a graduate of Building Technology from Covenant University. He went on to obtain a “Master of Business Administration” degree at the University of Lagos. His educational background and knack of business generally have found expression in a couple of private business endeavors of his.

Celebration Church International

While an undergraduate at Covenant University, Iren received a call into ministry and He began ministering in 2008. While on campus, he started a fellowship known as Triumphal Youth Fellowship. The fellowship grew significantly beyond the four walls of Covenant University and became the church ministry Life Triumphal Church. At the age of 22, Iren inaugurated the first campus of the church at Emsquare, Ijegun on the 11th of November, 2012.[3] In 2014, the church was officially renamed, Celebration Church International.[4]

In February 2021, the church made national headlines for its drive to provide support to Christian creatives in the church.[5]

Songwriter

Emmanuel Iren is also a songwriter.[6] He is the President and principal songwriter for Outburst Music Group, a Christian record label. The debut album for the group is titled “Kerygma” which means the proclamation of the gospel. It was launched in December 2017.[7] A year later they released another album titled “Octane”.[8] Notable songs by the group includes, "I Stand", "Adoration", "My Life" and "Light up the Way" which features Eben.[9]


Personal life

In November 2014, Emmanuel married his wife Laju Iren. They are blessed with two daughters, Ruby-Grace and Nadia.[6]

Awards, Nomination and Recognitions

In April 2020, Pastor Iren was recognized by “YNaija Church 100” as “one of 100 people who have made the most impact for the body of Christ within the past one year.”[10]
