Dr. Emmanuel Mogaji is a Nigerian-born academic writer and professor of Advertising and Marketing Communications at the University of Greenwich.[1][2] He is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.[3]

Emmanuel's areas of research include Advertising, Branding, Communications, Digital and Ethics (ABCDE) of Marketing Communications, artificial intelligence,[4][5][6] and sportswomen in the advertisement.[7][8][3] He has been studying and researching banking advertisements since the global financial crisis of 2007-08.[9] His PhD thesis explored emotional appeals in the United Kingdom advertisements.[10]

Biography

Born in Lagos State, Nigeria, Mogaji received a degree in architecture from the University of Lagos.[11] For further study, he moved to the United Kingdom and received his Masters of Arts degree in Art Design with Internet Technologies from the University of Bedfordshire.[12] In 2016, he completed his doctorate of philosophy (PhD) degree in marketing from the University of Bedfordshire.[13]

Emmanuel has previously served as the Associate Lecturer and a researcher at the Business and Management Research Institute of the University of Bedfordshire between 2014 and 2017.[2]

He joined the University of Greenwich in 2017 and served until September 2020 as a Lecturer in Advertising and Marketing Communications. In September 2020, he was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer.[2]
