Emmanuel the Emu (full name Emmanuel Todd Lopez) is a seven year old black-feathered emu[1] who lives at Knuckle Bump Farms in South Florida[2] with his owners Taylor Blake[3] and Kristian Haggerty[4]. He is an internet sensation famous for photobombing Taylor Blake's TikTok videos about life living on a farm. Blake scolds the emu by saying "Emmanuel, don't do it!", "Emmanuel, don't choose violence today", or by using his "government name", Emmanuel Todd Lopez
Emmanuel went viral in July 2022 on the social media platform TikTok[5] and his fame spread quickly to other platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. He is friends with a spunky deer named Princess, several other emus, and many other farm animals.
Emmanuel and Blake have appeared in many news articles and television shows since he went viral, the most notable being The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon[6].
