Emmeno (pronounced e̞mˈme̞.now born January 7th, 1984) is a record producer, singer and songwriter based in Nigeria. He is best known for producing the 2017 hit record 10 O' clock in VGC by Hotyce.
Early life
At the age of 10, Emmeno was introduced to the drums by his father, a former church Drummer who couldn't stand his sneaking out of the house to hangout with friends doing music.
In 2013, Emmeno was accepted to K2O ENTERTAINMENT as the official producer for the record label.
Career
Beginnings
Emmeno began his early production career making beats for himself, until 2012 when he got the opportunity to produce an actual artist, a gospel singer called D1 Omo Jesu who is also his friend. During the recording session at Core Studios in Abuja he met Rex Ricketts.
Emmeno would later say "That meeting changed a lot about my approach to music production and perspective about music". Rex Ricketts offered him an internship at the studio, and helped in enhancing his style of production.
As a Singer
In August 2013, Emmeno released his first single, a self-produced song "With Me" featuring Gunzz and Hotyce. The song got lots of airplay on Rhythm FM Abuja, and a record of 5,210 downloads on the music site "UndergroundKingzPR".
