Emmanuel Nicholas Nde, known by his stage name Emmy Songz, is a Nigerian social entrepreneur, public relation and musical artist. He is the founder, CEO and head of "Coal Africa Inc."[1] a Nigeria based social media marketing and publishing firm. He is the public relation to the South Africa based Nigerian hip-hop artiste Emmy Gee and the Nigeria politician Oraye St. Franklyn. He has worked for the likes of DJ Spinall, DJ Caise, Sean Tizzle, Derrick Worsley, Tee-Y Mix, Shohruh, Tonye Ibiama, DJ Neptune, Laura Ikeji & Shizzi.[2] In 2019, he was featured on Tush Magazine and the magazine labeled him The Future of Nigeria Alternative Sound.[3]

Early life[edit]

He was born on 26 September 1996 in Lagos[citation needed] to a Nigerian parents and he is a native of the Eleme people of Nigeria. He is the youngest out of six children and the only son in his family. His father is a "Rev. Fr" in the Orthodox Archdiocese of Nigeria[4] and his mother is a trader.[citation needed] His uncle "Hon Marcus Nle Ejii", was the former commissioner for culture and tourism in Rivers State.[citation needed]

Career[edit]

In 2019, Emmy launched his music career with his debut single "Konnect".[5] On 5 July 2019, he released another single titled "Phone" off his debut extended play Rare Gem, and according to Akonedo Jeffrey of MPmania media "Emmy Songz makes massive debut with 'Phone'".[6]
