The Empire 88 Tower[1] known as Empire City Building is an Ho Chi Minh City Megaproject Building. Construction has started in 2020. This building is used for Residential and Hotel purposes. This tower stands 333 Meters, which is 1,093 feet. This building is a Vietnamese dream. It is made of a material called Steel. Its status is proposed, and it has another name, Empire City Building.
This building has a lot of details. According to the owner, it will be finished by 2022. This building is planned to be a Landmark for visitors and will develop and change Vietnam’s HDI and their Quality of Life. This building was previously named Empire City Building [2] but that was cancelled in 2017, and construction started again in 2020. This tower supports the country’s development movement.
This tower is the second highest point in Ho Chi Minh City when sea levels rise. It stands 333 meters above Sea Level. It is mostly located in the downtown area of Ho Chi Minh City, or in one of the districts. This building has an incredible floor with a view for people to watch the sky at night. It may have a dining room for people to eat. Empire City is being built in sections by different developers, and the first stage is under construction.
Construction
This dream [3] building is a major development in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The project is located on one of the prime riverfront subdivisions of the Thu Thiem new urban area. The Empire City development covers 14.56 hectares and will include over 3000 apartments, hotels, retail, food and beverage, and Grade A office space. The project features the Empire 88 Tower by Büro Ole Scheeren. At 333 metres, it’s the tallest proposed tower in Thu Thiem and will be a defining landmark of the city skyline.
Empire City is the Zone 2B development lot of the Thu Thiem new urban area. The land is on the riverfront of the Saigon River in District 2, opposite District 4. It’s next to the Thu Thiem Tunnel and Mai Chi Tho Street. The project is located between land reserved for Eco Smart City by Lotte (Zone 2A), and the future sports and entertainment complex (Zone 2C). Empire City is separated from the Eco Smart City by a park that is above the tunnel. The riverfront will be a public park and not blocked by the development.
There are 11 sub-divisions that have the project reference “MU”. Not all of the information is available yet, so I will update this when it becomes available. The signature tower of Empire City is the Empire 88 Tower. This will be connected to two other towers on a podium that resembles rice terraces. The towers include:
– Empire 88 Tower (MU1): 333 metres, 88 floors above ground.[4] – Office Tower (MU2): 165 metres, 36 floors above ground. – Residential Tower (MU3): 124 metres, 34 floors above ground.
The Cloud Space
The Cloud Space[5] is a floor of the Empire 88 tower, located at the highest point of the Tower. This place is where people can enjoy outdoor dining and conversation. It is a public area for people to go outside with those they love and view the entire Ho Chi Minh City skyline. It also has facilities for people to bring their belongings.
This floor is also for viewing the Skyscrapers of the city, all while celebrating the shimmering views of the bustling metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City. This is a public area where some people host games for their friends or family to play outside while viewing the skyscrapers inside the building and on the 88th floor, which is the last floor.
Sky Forest
The Sky Forest[6] is a floor with a garden and an outdoor garden with a safe floor like a bridge, but a smaller version. This is a stunning collection of high-rise towers and public spaces for people to explore. This building has a very beautiful natural forest setting and includes a small waterfall into the garden inside the building on this floor. This tower is designed to set the local system of the building. [7]
Inside the building, there is so much beauty, with stairs and an elevator for people to go inside and explore the nature, including the small waterfall. There are small trees, bushes, and some forest and jungle elements with animals on TV within the beauty of the building’s nature, which many visitors can see.
Besides this, the floor perfectly encompasses a symbiotic vision of nature and living within the bustling metropolis. This is also one of the most expensive floors built in the whole building, including real bushes and palm trees or trees that look realistic. They have created a waterfall on the floor, but it is a robotic waterfall that looks more realistic and doesn’t get anyone wet.
Master Plan
Empire City is a high-class apartment building in District 2, developed by three reputable investors: Keppel Land, Tien Phuoc, and Tran Thai.
Empire City is a complex with a prime location right in the Thu Thiem new urban area and facing the Saigon River. The outstanding project with the tallest building, Empire 88, in Vietnam is under construction, including a 5-star hotel, commercial area, office area, and high-class apartments.[8]
Empire City apartment is not only a prominent modern architectural symbol in Thu Thiem, but it is also a high-class living space for the elite. The project is developed as a city within the city, giving residents the best living, working, and entertainment environment.
