Summary
There seems to be a lull in the war, so the Confederation sends out their best pilot, Jason Chesterfield and his crew, to explore the galaxy for new planets to colonize. To most, a mission would be a mission. To Jason, this is a complete and total waste of his time and talent. Nevertheless, he accepts the mission, and is off to find 50 possible new homes for colonists. It is what he discovers about himself along the way that puts the entire mission into perspective.
