Mission[edit]

The Energy Art Movement is an international contemporary multimedia art movement, with three primary values: quality, diversity, and artistic evolution – on the common ground of energetic depictions. Its values have been explicitly defined in its Manifesto – the founding document – and its Principles. Its members make their artworks with energy – either in composition or in subject matter. They follow a progressive trend of forward evolution in the Fine Arts. They promote both traditional and digital media, and plan to build a multi-span bridge between parts of the art world.

The Movement bases itself on a number of historical styles – such as impressionism, expressionism, and futurism – while members create art with energetic compositions which – according to their Manifesto‘s reasoning – adds artistic value to them.

Founders and Committee[edit]

The movement was founded on May 9, 2008 by five painters - Miguel Tió (realist), Joe Reimer (impressionist), Giorgio Vaselli (surrealist), Laura Zerebeski (expressionist), and Chris Panatier (abstractionist) - initiated by Giorgio Vaselli who is currently the Movement’s Organizer. It formed out of his online network, with his recognition of grassroots foundations.

In January of 2009 leadership became shared with Adam Scott Miller becoming his Co-Organizer for a two-year term, and Rollin Kocsis became Trustee. Others have joined the committee as essayists and networkers.

Exhibitions and Projects[edit]

The Movement has carried out several projects and exhibitions to date. The Green Energy Project..[1] [2] was a 2009 exhibition in Canada, followed by the We Are Connected Project [3]. Giorgio Vaselli and Diogenes Lamarche co-organized the Energy Art Salon 2010 at the Murphy Hill Gallery in Chicago, with 31 international artists and 46 artworks, both traditional and digital[4] [5] [6] Trustee Rollin Kocsis and the Organizer have co-curated Energizing Radiance 2010 at Gallery Fifty Six in Memphis, USA, with media features [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14]. This exhibition was the largest so far with 67 artworks.

The announced next exhibition - the Energy Art Salon 2011, curated by Facebook users through a competition [15] - is going to be held in Veliky Novgorod, Russia at the City Exhibition Center “Dialog” [16]
