An engine performance curve or a dyno curve is the graph of an engine's power and torque plotted against the engines rotational speed (RPM).

It is a characteristic plot unique to each type of engine, so various engines have various characteristic curves, each unique, much like an engine's fingerprint.

It is usually used to see the maximum of the power and torque as a function of the engines rotation.
