Engineering University School and College (EUSC) (formerly known as Engineering University School) is a Bangladeshi Secondary School and College situated inside Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology campus at Ramna Thana.[1][2][3] It started as a secondary school but on year 1998, higher secondary level was added to educational program.[4]
History
In 1982, a secondary school named Engineering University School was established at the BUET campus, with the efforts of some highly educated educationists, to develop a systematic and highly regarded educational institution for young children, sponsored by the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. After that, the institution was recognized as one of the leading schools of Bangladesh because of the enthusiastic results of the students. After this, the institution was upgraded to higher secondary level in 1998 based on the quality of education, the reputation for better results, recognition and time requirement. Currently, the organization has been named Engineering University School and College. Every year new levels are being added to the growth of the institution and the glorious progress of students' results. The remarkable results of primary, secondary and higher secondary schools have turned the organization into a unique academy of Dhaka City. At present, continued success in primary education completion, JSC, SSC and HSC examinations in the institute continues.
The role of the beautiful environment in creating a foundation for good education and orderly life is undeniable. The location of the organization is in an enchanting environment surrounded by peaceful and lush green vegetation inside Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. The academic and administrative activities of the organization are being conducted in a vast and well-sounded building. There is a green field for the students to attend the day-to-day gathering. During the break time students can have quality time with this green view and fresh environment.
Academic activities
With specific goals and objectives, academic activities of this institution are carried out in order to make students aware of the immense possibilities. Education in human beings, mentality and consciousness helps people move towards a living path. The intrinsic attributes of man become credited with learning, and the educational institute advances in the standard and sophisticated style of education. The ideal and objective of the academic curriculum of this institute is to develop the students in real life, also in physical, mental, moral and social life. Here, all activities are conducted with the goal of ensuring quality education, class tests, periodic, half-yearly, annual exams. For special grades they conduct model tests to ensure good results.
Curriculum
The school follows the curriculum published by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board, Bangladesh and Board of Secondary and Intermediate Education. The curriculum offers Bengali version. The institution is recognized by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. The secondary level offers SSC and the higher secondary level offers HSC examination.
Administration System
The Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology has been appointed as the president of this organization, but he usually nominates the president. In the chairmanship of an experienced and skilled educationist, he is responsible for managing a special kind of governing body. In addition to the current system's president, there are three guardian representatives and two teacher representatives nominated for the post in the governing body by the Vice-Chancellor. The Principal of the organization is the Member Secretary of Governing Body. In order to improve the overall quality of the students and increase the excellence of the organization, 46 skilled, experienced and dedicated life education instructors and 18 officers and employees are working hard to keep up.[5]

Campus
The campus consists of a four-storeyed building and a green field. It has a library, computer lab, physics lab, chemistry lab, biology lab for students to do practical works. It also has a canteen with quality foods on the ground floor.
Admission
Students can get admission in KG, 1st and 6th grade. However, if the seats are vacant, at the start of the year students can be admitted into other grades except 10th and 12th grade.
