English Medieval Church Towers: The Northern Providence is a reference book of church towers in the ecclesiastical province of York. The book covers all the church towers located within Blackburn, Carlisle, Chester, Durham, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Southwell and Nottingham and York. Each reference is accompanied by an extract by the National Heritage List for England and watercolours illustrated by W.E. David Ryan. The books includes an index and a glossary of terms.[1][2]
