Enjambre (Banda)

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Enjambre is a rock band that originated in Santa Ana, California and it's members are from Fresnillo, Zacatecas.

Brothers Luis Humberto y Rafael Navejas Díaz formed a project called "Los cuatro fantasticos" (Fantastic Four) back in 1996 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas. Once they moved to Santa Ana, California, they formed Enjambre en 2001 with their cousin Romeo Navejas. However, Romeo would last just over a year in the group and in 2002 Nico Saavedra and Osamu Nishitani would come, drums and guitar respectively.

In 2004 they signed with Oso Records and later released their first album Consuelo on Sunday, an album with very experimental and progressive rock influences. The album sold little, but to be an independent band it earned them a nomination for the Premios Lo Nuestro in 2006 with the single Atentado and recognition in southern California and Mexico, where their music was most requested. It was also in this year that Swarm entered into crisis, Nico Saavedra and Osamu Nishitani left the band due to creative differences. In the end, the Navejas brothers returned to Mexico to make the new Enjambre.

In 2007, the band already had a new formation. Ángel Sánchez on drums, Javier Mejia on guitar and the younger brother of the Navejas, Julián Navejas on keyboards, formed the Swarm that everyone already knows. In this year, they released the EP Manía cardiaca, which was only sold in concerts since it was an independent album. At the end of 2007, the band had grown very fast, with almost an album already prepared, the single Mania Cardiac had them at the top of indie rock in all of Mexico.

In 2008 they published the album El Segundo es Felino, which would popularize them. Denise Gutiérrez, then a member of Hello Seahorse! 1, participated in this album. Given the success of the band, its members decided to move to Mexico City. In this album songs such as Mania cardiaca, Ausencia de cocina, Último tema e Impacto, duet song with Denisse Gutiérrez were highlighted. The aforementioned songs were singles that continued to lengthen the success of the album and the band, which gave them their first participation in Vive Latino in 2009.

While still an independent group, EMI noticed them and signed them in late 2009. In 2010 they released their third album Daltónico, which was a success throughout the country. The singles Dulce soledad and Visita placed Enjambre at the top of Mexico's rock-pop charts, although other songs such as Cobarde, Madrugada, Enemigo and Intruso stood out. Thanks to this album, they arrived for the first time at the Metropolitan Theater and do the Daltonico Tour and with it, they tour the entire Mexican Republic and part of the United States.

In 2012 they released the album called Enjambre and the guests of the world, which was a phenomenon in all the popularity charts (like Daltonico). The single Somos ajenos opened the production by Julián Navejas. Issues such as Element, fault chamber or Vice versa led the group to set foot on stages such as the National Auditorium.

In 2014 they released Proaño with songs like Tulipanes, Rosa Náutica (Del Piso), among others.

In early 2017 they announced a new studio album, thus releasing their first single "En tu día". The album was released in April of that year. The second single was Third Type, later Life in the Mirror also became a single with video. Finally they announced a new single from the same album titled Y la esperanza.
