Dr. Eric Jobiliong is an experimental physicist, researcher, and educator. In 2005, Dr. Jobiliong joined Boulder School for Condensed Matter and Materials Physics in Yale University. As a Ph.D. student, with interest in a Kondo effect in mesoscopic systems, his project involved electrical transport, magnetic properties and quantum oscillations of heavy Fermion and Kondo Lattice system.[1]
Biography[edit]
Jobiliong entered the Industrial Engineering Department of Universitas Pelita Harapan in 2007, as a lecturer in Physics and Math. He graduated from the Physics department at Universitas Indonesia (UI) in 1996. In 1997, he obtained the University Research for Graduate Education (URGE) Project Scholarship for his master degree in Physics at UI and graduated with a cum laude in 1999. In 2002, he started his doctoral program in Physics at Florida State University (FSU). He got postdoctoral fellowship at Georgetown University, USA in 2006. He also received Fulbright-DIKTI research program in 2011 to do research in USA. His research interest is in condensed matter physics and laser spectroscopy. His research interest is in condensed matter physics and Laser spectroscopy. He has published more than 70 international journal papers with a H-Index of 12 and more than 400 citations as of December 2019. He has work experience both as a teacher and employee in the private industry, but he believes that his calling is in teaching. He also believes that teaching is not only transferring knowledge but also reaching out and transforming lives.[2][3]
As a University Lecturer at Pelita Harapan University, he has taught many courses such as Physics, Linear Algebra and more. He has also taught Vector Matrices in the Surabaya Branch Pelita Harapan University[4]
Furthermore, he taught IB Diploma Physics in Pelita Harapan School Lippo Village, for the graduating class of 2020 and 2021.
