Eric Omondi,(born 9th march 1987).[1][2] is a Kenyan comedian and an entertainer. He was popularly known while performing as a comedian on Churchill show which aired on NTV. Hailing from the Luo community Eric was born in a family of four siblings and was raised in Kisumu County where he attended Kondele primary school and later Kisumu boys before joining daystar university in Athi river where he perused a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and Journalism[3].
Currently Eric Omondi is one of the best comedians and content creators in Africa[4] [5]and a was named among the top ten funniest men in Africa[6].
He renounced performing on Churchill Show and tried starting several solo shows such as; ‘Eric Omondi Untamed’ and ‘Hawayu’ among others but they all turned out to be a series of miss calculated maneuvers. He also worked as a reporter on NTV but was sucked two weeks later after just doing one story which turned out to be a mess.
His journey to where he is today is credited to the father of stand-up comedy, Daniel Ndambuki (Churchill)[7]. The two met in 2006 and exchanged numbers after Eric impressed in a gig he was performing. Two years later, Churchill invited him to the Churchill show of what turned out to be an opportunity of a lifetime. His debut at the Churchill Show was not what he expected but he picked up fast and won the hearts of many. He is also the founder and CEO of Eric Omondi Studios and Big Time Entretainment[8][9]
