Eric van Siede

Eric van Siede (1857–1884) was a Scandinavian poet discovered only recently. He was born Peder van Siede to a poor family who lived outside of Växjö, Sweden where he remained all his life. Van Siede published only one collection of poetry in his lifetime Natt Låtar (Night Songs), a book of 33 poems all surrounding similar themes of night and darkness.
