Erich Hammon

Erich Hammon was an Oberstleutnant in the Heer during World War II, serving as commander of Panzer Artillerie Regiment 119. He was a holder of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
Death
Hammon was executed on 30 June 1945 by a British firing squad for killing a Russian. The 21st Army Group Headquarters in Germany announced this on 2 July 1945.[1]
