Erik Anders Lang
Erik Anders Lang is a filmmaker and television host. He is the co-founder of the Los Angeles based production company Pictures, Pictures.[1] Lang is the director and host of the PGA Tour / Skratch TV series Adventures in Golf. [2][3][4][5]
Career[edit]
In November 2014, Lang announced that his documentary Be the Ball would feature appearances by Bill Murray and Rory McIlroy.[6] The documentary explores the impact of mediation on the game of golf. [7][8]
In 2016, the first season of Adventures in Golf premiered on Skratch TV, a media company founded in part by the PGA Tour.[2] [9][10][11][12]Season 2 premiered in 2017.[13][14][15][16]Season 3 premiered in October 2018. [17][18][19][20][21]
Lang has directed music videos for Moby, DA & the Jones and Escondido. He also directed branded content for Louis Vuitton, Hollister and Fuji Film. Lang directed behind the scenes content for Pharrell and Public Enemy.[22] As a director and actor, Lang created a series of commercials for Vice Golf balls.[23] The commercials are currently airing on the Golf Channel.[24]
In February 2018, Lang launched the podcast The Erik Anders Lang Show.[25][26] The podcast has featured interviews with LPGA players Michelle Wie and Alison Lee as well as PGA Tour players Kevin Chappell and Morgan Hoffmann. Other guests have included: actors Haley Joel Osment, Craig T. Nelson, Richard Schiff and Dave Annable, author Kelly Oxford, writer/producer Phil Rosenthal, ESPN host Michael Collins and comedian Rob Riggle.[27][28]
Personal life[edit]
In August 2014, Lang married musician Sia.[29] The couple announced their separation in December 2016.[30] Lang lives in Los Angeles.[31]
