Ernest & Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia (Ernest et Célestine: Le Voyage en Charabie) is a 2022 French animated film directed by Julien Chheng and Jean-Christophe Roger. The film is based on a series of children's books of the same name published by the Belgian author and illustrator Gabrielle Vincent. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film Ernest & Celestine.[1]
Announced in 2017, the film was released by StudioCanal on December 14, 2022. The film was released in the United States in 2023 by GKIDS.
Synopsis[edit]
Ernest and Celestine return to Ernest's country to have his broken violin repaired. They discover that music is banned throughout the country. They will attempt to right this injustice in order to bring joy back to bear country.[2]

The film was released in France on December 14, 2022 and had a limited release in the United States on September 1, 2023 by GKIDS.[4] The film will be released on Blu-ray in North America on January 16, 2024. [5]
