Ernest "Ernie" Reynolds Ambrose DDS was a Canadian Professor and administrator. He previously held the position of Dean of the University of Saskatchewan Faculty of Dentistry and McGill University Faculty of Dentistry.
Early life and education[edit]
Ernest R. Ambrose obtained his DDS degree from McGill University in 1950.
Career[edit]
He became chairman of the department of Operative Dentistry at the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry in 1957 and served as Dean from 1970 - 1977. During his deanship he was instrumental in the founding of the Oral and Maxillofacial and Prosthodontics programs.[1] He then served as Dean to the developing University of Saskatchewan Faculty of Dentistry from 1977-1985. [2]
He was appointed Professor Emeritus of Restorative and Prosthodontic Dentistry at the University of Saskatchewan in 1993.[3]
Awards[edit]
He received the Master Teacher Award in 1993 from the University of Saskatchewan.[4]
