Ernesto De Villa Bejjani is a Mexican – Lebanese Actor, Director, Producer, also an Acting Coach and Voice Over Actor and Coach.

Biography[edit]

Ernesto De Villa Bejjani is a stage and film actor, director, playwright, producer, acting coach and voice over actor and coach, founder and director of 88 Performing Arts[1].  He began his career in 1984, completed his professional studies at the National School of Dramatic Arts at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Mexico City.

He has been living in New York since 2002 and has produced several theatrical productions, such as “Sofia’s Desire” (El deseo de Sofia) a collective creation based on original idea by himself, “La que hubiera amado tanto” (“The One I Should Have Loved”) by Alejandro Licona, and “Rosa de dos aromas” (“Rose of Two Scents”) by Emilio Carballido. Complementing his work as a playwright and producer, he enjoys lighting and set design.

Ernesto was a member of the Spanish Theater Repertory[2] from 2005 through 2013, he worked in several productions, including “Vagon”(“Boxcar”) by Silvia González[3], Dir. Rene Buch[4]. “En algun lugar de la frontera” (“Nowhere On The Border”) by Carlos Lacamara, Dir. José Zayas, and “La casa de los espiritus” (The House of Spirits”) by Isabel Allende, Version by Caridad Svich, Dir. Jose Zayas. In 2006 became a member of Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors.

In 2016, he worked as the Associate Artistic Director at Teatro LATEA[5]. In the voiceover field, he worked for over ten years as a casting director at Sticky Audio Labs[6]. In addition, as of 2012 he has been the Spanish VoiceOver coach at the Edge Studio[7]
