Escape Quest is an American escape room based in the Washington, DC area.[1] The company boasts locations in Old Town Alexandria, VA and Downtown Bethesda, MD[2].

Escape Quest was founded in 2016 with the opening of its first location on King Street in Old Town Alexandria. The business started with just two escape rooms, The Captain's Quarters and The Lost Temple. Soon thereafter, the company opened up three more rooms: The Bunker, The Black Widow and The King's Ransom.

Escape Quest will open its second location in Bethesda, MD in 2019.[3]

The Black Widow is a murder-mystery escape room about serial killer Camilla Deville. It is the player's job to uncover the mystery surrounding the disappearance of her most recent husband and how she may have killed him.[4]

The Black Widow allows up to 8 players and holds a challenge level of 7/10.[5]

Expedition Unknown

Expedition Unknown is an adventure escape room about archeologist, Dr. Silas Webb. It is the player's job to uncover the mystery of his remaining expedition before he disappeared.[6]

Expedition Unknown allows up to 10 players and holds a challenge level of 8/10.[7]

Escape room critic and Washington, DC based blog, Escape Room Adventurer, has played several Escape Quest games over the years. They have played The Black Widow[8], The Captain's Quarters[9], The King's Ransom[10] and The Lost Temple[11] in 2017.

Escape Room Guys

The Escape Room Guys are based in Alexandria, VA[12] and have visited Escape Quest on several occasions.

In early 2019, they visited Escape Quest's Alexandria location for an interview about the future of escape rooms.[13]
