Jose Eshkenazi Smeke is a sports marketing specialist with decades of experience in advertising sales, marketing strategy, sports management and commercial and sales development. He is a key figure in Mexico's sports marketing industry, first serving with Soccer Media Solutions as a legal representative. He currently oversees all Soccer Media Solutions operations as interim director of the company.

Soccer Media Solutions was born from the desire to improve the football experience through creative and technological business concepts. As such, SMS works to integrate advertising into matches and television broadcasts. Its main services include court-level advertising and virtual inserts.

Jose Eshkenazi Smeke describes in-field advertising  as belonging to one of two fields: fences or rugs. The first means placing ads on the fence of a football field. This allows the brand to be continuously present during the match and also puts ads in a strategic view. SMS can also run add-ons on electronic fences, offering the opportunity for more malleable and versatile messaging.

The mats are placed on either side of a football field. They offer longer exposure times than electronic fences (since the latter are always changing) and are ideal for brand awareness.
