The European Bartender School (EBS) is a private institution providing bartender education in 24 schools in 17 countries across the world,[2] with 15 branches in Europe.[3] It was founded in 1999 and has trained 50,000 people.[4]

EBS provides one-month courses that include practical training, recipes, flair bartending, and theory.[2] To graduate, students must know written theory, but also pass practical tests such as free-pouring a drink within an accuracy of 3mls and bar tricks. They must understand alcohol flavour profiles and the role of the bartender in influencing the atmosphere in a bar.[5]

In 2016, EBS worked with Media Agency Group on a marketing campaign to recruit students in the UK.[6] In 2018, the school partnered with Bacardi-Martini on a program called "Shake Your Future" to provide free bartending education to unemployed young adults.[7]
