The European Compliance and Ethics Conference (ECEC) is Europe's largest professional conference for the compliance industry. At the conference, participants exchange views on the latest developments and compliance requirements for companies, such as risk management, whistleblower protection or ethical corporate governance and communication.

History[edit]

The ECEC took place for the first time on 6 October 2020. Due to the Corona pandemic, the conference was held completely virtually. More than 5000 participants followed the conference live or watched the replay.[1]. The ECEC conference 2021 will take place on 6 October 2021[2].

Speakers (selection)[edit]

Previous speakers include Dan McCrum ("The House of Wirecard" by Financial Times), James Freis or whistleblower Wendy Addison.

ECEC Award[edit]

The ECEC Award, which recognises outstanding compliance projects in companies, is also presented at the ECEC conference. In 2020, Groupe La Poste received the award[3]
