EGPRN, an integral network entity under WONCA Europe[1], is the European General Practice Research Network (formerly EGPRW, European General Practice Research Workshop). Transitioning from an ill-defined entity, EGPRW evolved into EGPRN after a pivotal meeting in Leusden, the Netherlands, in October 1971.
EGPRN's early focus was on identifying real problems in general practice and establishing rules for systematic inquiry. Over time, it became a platform for international collaboration, leading to significant studies such as the European Study of Referrals from Primary to Secondary Care.

Activities
Beyond providing a platform for collaborative projects, EGPRN also hosts bi-annual scientific conferences[4] in different cities all over Europe for General Practice researchers to present their findings. Abstracts from these conferences are published as proceedings with an ISBN number.
