The European Proteomics Association (EuPA) is a non-profit organization active in the field of proteomics.[1] EuPA was founded in 2005 and inaugurated at the 4th HUPO World Congress in Munich, Germany. EuPA serves as an umbrella organization, connecting twenty-three European national proteomics societies.[2] Its aims are to coordinate and integrate national proteomics initiatives, to strengthen and promote proteomics research, and to support educational and training initiatives.

Activities[edit]

EuPA organizes the annual EuPA conference, which brings together proteomics researchers from across Europe. These conferences are organized each year in collaboration with one of its member national proteomics societies. EuPA also organizes workshops and training courses on various aspects of proteomics, such as mass spectrometry and bioinformatics.[3]

Awards[edit]

EuPA honors researchers through several yearly awards, such as the Vision and Commitment Award and the Juan-Pablo Albar Proteome Pioneer Award. These prizes are awarded at the yearly EuPA conference.[4][5]

Initiatives[edit]

EuPA supports various proteomics-related initiatives by providing financial and infrastructural backing. As of 2023, the following EuPA initiatives are active:
