Evan Petruzzi is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, New York. She sings with an unreserved passion that speaks an emotional truth. Combined with her catchy, melodic songs and her distinctive voice, Evan captures her audience with a sound uniquely her own. With meaningful lyrics, a heartfelt bluesy-pop musical style, and a powerful live show, Evan's music appeals to a wide audience.

Early Life[edit]

Evan Petruzzi is a singer/songwriter from Long Island, New York. She grew up in Plainview and attended the Bethpage School District. Born of professional trumpeter Leon Petruzzi and mother Niki Petruzzi, Evan began playing music at a very young age. While her first instrument being trumpet like her dad, after Evan received her first guitar on her 12th birthday, she fell in love. She began writing and singing songs and years later, discovered her passion never died, and she chose to pursue a career in music.[1]

Evan released her single, Breathe on October 1, 2018. “Breathe” is about internal struggles and finding the strength to allow yourself to lean on someone who has been in front of you all along. It's meant to be a feel good song that inspires people to never give up and to help those who are troubled and can't help themselves. With its soulful harmonies and evocative groove, “Breathe” holds a personal and powerful message of hope and compassion. [1]

Evan has performed at venues in the New York area with her five-piece band such as the Mercury Lounge, The Bitter End, and Rockwood Music Hall and performed solo at open mic nights in places such as the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and The Reserve in Sarasota. She states she grew up listening to an eclectic group of music from the likes of Miles Davis to Carole King. Her influences include James Bay, Foy Vance, Amy Winehouse, and Lily Kershaw.[1]
