Eved (legally Eved, LLC) is an American financial technology company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, that provides accounts payable automation and payment management solutions for the events, media, and entertainment industries.[1] The company operates a platform that automates vendor onboarding, invoice processing, and global payments across more than 190 countries and 136 currencies.[2] Eved is a certified SAP partner and its platform is available on the SAP Store.[3]
History
Founding and early years (2009–2014)
Eved was founded in 2009 by Talia Mashiach, a serial entrepreneur who had previously operated an event management company.[4][5] In 2010, Mashiach invested the first million dollars of her own capital into the venture after identifying systemic inefficiencies in how event companies managed vendor payments.[2] The company's initial product focused on automating the procurement and payment workflows for the meetings and events industry, which had historically relied on manual processes operating outside traditional enterprise procurement systems.[4]

The COVID-19 pandemic severely impacted Eved's core events business. According to the company, approximately 70 percent of its clients contacted the company to cancel services when live events ceased in early 2020.[2] Rather than close, the company pivoted into the film and television production sector, where each production involves complex logistics, hundreds of vendors, tight timelines, and substantial financial workflows that had been managed manually for decades.[2]
In April 2023, Eved announced a formal partnership with SAP to bring its payment and vendor management platform to entertainment, media, and production companies.[3] The partnership extended SAP solutions—including SAP Ariba, SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP S/4HANA Cloud—to address vendor onboarding, validation, and payment in the media and entertainment industry.[3] The announcement was covered by Business Wire, ProductionHub, Insightful Accountant, and the Media & Entertainment Services Alliance (MESA).[3][10][11]
According to the 2023 press release, the company reported that its platform reduced vendor onboarding time by 95 percent, decreased fraud by 90 percent, and provided full automation of payments and reporting.[3]
In subsequent years, Eved expanded its product suite to include the EvedPay Card, a Visa prepaid card and mobile application designed for production companies to manage day-to-day expenses, facilitate approvals, and reconcile expenditures.[12]
