Evelyn Zachhingpuii is an Indian model and beauty pageant titleholder from Mizoram. She was crowned Miss Universe Mizoram 2025 and represented the state at Miss Universe India 2025, where she reached the Top 20, placing fourteenth overall.[1]
Career
Zachhingpuii, who is from Saikhamakawn, began competing in pageants as a student, finishing as the first runner-up at Miss Pachhunga University College in 2019 and as a runner-up at the Miss Chapchar Kut pageant.[2] At the Miss Mizoram 2024 pageant, she finished as the first runner-up and won the Miss Personality subtitle.[3][1]
In May 2025, she was crowned Miss Universe Mizoram 2025 at an audition held in Guwahati, earning the right to represent Mizoram at Miss Universe India 2025.[2] At the national finale, held in Jaipur on 18 August 2025, she reached the Top 20 and placed fourteenth overall; commentators noted her stage presence and her blending of a modern outlook with Mizo tradition.[1] In April 2026, she crowned her successor, Lalrinchhani, at the Miss Universe Mizoram 2026 pageant in Lunglei.[4]
