From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Ben Everard is the chairman of Everard Entertainment, an American production company founded in 2023 and based in Los Angeles, California.[1] Everard is known for titles such as Way of the Warrior Kid, The Man With the Bag, Family Switch, Yes Day, Pain Hustlers, The Laundromat, and Lights Out.

Everard most recently produced the forthcoming Chris Pratt film Way of the Warrior Kid, based on the book by Navy SEAL Jocko Willink and directed by McG.[2] Everard was introduced to Jocko through a mutual connection and secured the rights to the Way of the Warrior Kid book series.[3] Everard then developed an adaptation with writer Will Staples and Willink.[3] Once the script was written, they attached Chris Pratt to play the lead role of Uncle Jake.[2] Everard then attached McG to direct the film, whom he had worked with on Family Switch.[4] With the package, the team sold the project with FilmNation to Skydance in one of the biggest package deals at Cannes in years.[2] Skydance will bring the project to Apple as part of its overall deal there.[2]

Everard produced the forthcoming Arnold Schwarzenegger film The Man With The Bag, also starring Alan Ritchson and Awkwafina, and directed by Adam Shankman.[5] The film is financed and distributed by Amazon Studios.[5] Everard Entertainment is developing the feature film "Trick Shot" with NBA superstar Stephen Curry and Unanimous Media.[6]

Everard previously produced two Jennifer Garner-led features for Netflix: Yes Day and Family Switch.[7] The former of which was the most-watched family film in the studio’s history at the time of its release.[8] It was Ben's wife, Mary Everard, who initially thought of the idea of turning Yes Day into a movie after seeing Jennifer Garner post about doing a yes day with her children on social media.[8] Everard then helped secure the rights to the book and package the material with Garner as a producer and the star of the film.[8]

Everard served as Executive Producer on the 2023 film Pain Hustlers, starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, and directed by David Yates.[9] He executive produced the 2019 Stephen Soderbergh film The Laundromat, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and starred Meryl Streep, Gary Oldman, and Antonio Banderas.[10] In 2016, Everard executive produced the David Sandberg directorial debut Lights Out, written by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Eric Heisserer and produced alongside James Wan.[11]

Everard serves on the Board of Directors for FilmLA, the entity tasked with film permitting in the Los Angeles area.[12] Separately, he serves as a Commissioner on the Economy & Efficiency Commission for the County of Los Angeles.[13]

Everard began his career as an attorney at the litigation firm Quinn Emanuel and was based in their headquarter office in Los Angeles.[14]

Everard is married with four children.[15] He originally hails from Crystal Lake, Illinois, attended Crystal Lake South High School,[16] received his undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, and received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School.[17]
