The 518-metre-tall building will be the first skyscraper in Hefei and will be the tallest landmark in Anhui province.[2] The construction of the building began in 2016 and is exacted to be complete in 2021.[3] It will have 112 floors and serve as a hotel, residential and office building.[4]
Design[edit]
KY Cheung, Atkins' project design director, said: "Our design concept was inspired by bamboo, which according to Chinese culture, represents prosperity and elegance. The development will help increase the land value of Binhu district, enhance the image of the city of Hefei and facilitate the city's development.".[5]
