Summary[edit]

Evolve Vacation Rental Network is a vacation rental management company based in Denver, Colorado, United States.[1][2][3]. The company services more than 9,000 short-term rental properties in over 500 markets throughout North America[4][5].

History[edit]

Evolve Vacation Rental Network was founded in 2011 by Brian Egan and Adam Sherry, both of whom came to the vacation industry through the Denver-based luxury destination club, Exclusive Resorts. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, Evolve has received recognition as one of the 10 fastest-growing startups in Colorado[6][7][8].

In 2013, Evolve secured a $2.7 million funding round led by Robert Mylod the former Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Priceline Group. Mylod joined Evolve’s board of directors in conjunction with the funding[9][10].

In 2016, Evolve raised $5.5 million in funding to expand their team and support marketing efforts to attract more homeowners. The round was led by T. Rowe Price Associates, and included participation from Annox Capital and Allen & Company[11][12][13].

In 2017, Evolve announced another round of funding led by T. Rowe Price Associates[14]. It secured $11 million during the round, which the company used to relocate its headquarters to a new 38,000-square-foot space at 717 17th Street in Denver[15][16][17][18]. Evolve also announced plans[19] to add 100 employees to its staff.

In 2018, Evolve raised another $80 million in funding, led by T. Rowe Price Associates Inc. and including Winslow Capital Management, Foxhaven Asset Management and Arrowmark Partners. This round brought Evolve's total funding to $103 million[20]. With this round, Evolve plans on supporting their continued triple-digit annual growth, improving its core offerings, and continuing to develop their tech-enabled services platform[21][22][23].

Business Model[edit]

Evolve Vacation Rental Network provides vacation rental management services to homeowners who use their second homes as short-term rentals[24][25]. Evolve handles all of the marketing and booking tasks for vacation rental owners, while offering flexibility for on-the-ground services by allowing owners to be as hands-on or hands-off as they prefer[26][27]
