Exhibet A was a new wave band formed in 1980, playing a fusion of rock & reggae. They had to change the spelling of the original name as there was another band called Exhibit A. They started their own record label Underground Music which was distributed by Pinnacle Record Distributors. They recorded in Rhino Studios in Dorking, Surrey. They played live in many pubs, clubs & venues around London & the South east.
Group members were Tony Copeland (guitars & vocals), Andrew Dread Tyler (drums), Gareth Bere (tenor sax), Lindis Lane (alto sax & vocals), and Bob Duffy (bass).
In 1981 they released a single with High Technology (side A) and Machines of War (side B).
