Exodus of Palestinian Arabs

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The displacement of Palestinians occurred in 1948 when more than 700,000 Palestinians – nearly half of Palestine's Arab population – were displaced or expelled from their homes during the 1948 Palestine War. Displacement was a central factor in the fragmentation of Palestinian society, the seizure of its property, and its expulsion from its land, known as the Nakba which included the destruction of 400 to 600 Palestinian villages, as well as the Judaization of Palestinian history. The term Nakba also refers to the period that exceeds the duration of the war itself and the persecution that came after the war and continues to the present.
