Eyeconic, Inc. is an online optical goods retailer specializing in prescription glasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses.[1] The Eyeconic offices are located in Rancho Cordova, California.[2] The company was founded, and continues to be run by, optometrists and Vision Service Plan doctors who oversee each of the prescription glasses sold.[2]
History[edit]
In 2011, Eyeconic was founded as a subsidiary brand of VSP Global, Inc and is managed by VSP Retail President, Bill Vaughan.[3][4][5] In 2019, the company announced it would open retail locations, the first being in Chicago, that have shown high numbers of out-of-network claims to VSP from optical retail chains.[6] Each Eyeconic location will have a VSP eye doctor on staff.[1]
