Eze Eberechi Dick is the 20th/21st Century King of Mgboko Ngwa Amaise Kingdom in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.[1] He is the traditional supreme ruler and spiritual leader in Mgboko, an Igbo Land in Nigeria.

Eze Eberechi N. Dick is the chairman South-East Council of Traditional Rulers.[2] He is also the Deputy Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers in Abia State.[3]

Eze Eberechi was educated at Mgboko Ngwa Amaise Community Primary School, Obingwa.

The King is the first of Nigerian Monarchs to abolish the Uju Mgboko a festival that has been for ages, thus making abolishing the use of black magic in the Mgboko Ngwa Amaise Kingdom.[4]

Educational Sector[edit]

The King was instrumental in the establishment of Abia State University, Abia State. He was the formal chancellor University of Abuja[5] and currently the chancellor Federal University of Technology Minna. [6][7]

Social Advocacy[edit]

The King dealt with a political crisis in Mgboko Ngwa by allowing the town in a general assembly to choose a title for him to restore peace in the town. Thereafter, the community named him the ATTORNEY OF PEACE. His other title is, Justice of the Peace (JP). He made sure not to get involved into matters that could bring blood shed.[8] While he was the Abia State Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers, he disowned Kings who abused their rights.[9] He made sure the terrorizing Fulani Herdsmen in Nigeria is tackled[10]

Business[edit]

The King facilitated the renovating of the Ariaria International Market and this market gave the whole of Abia State and Aba in particular prominence as one of the largest commercial cities in Nigeria.[11]
