Ezra Solway
Ezra Solway (Born November 11, 1993) is an American author who serves as communication manager at Central Synagogue. He was previously Assistant Editor of the Jewish Community Voice and is son of medical journalist, Linda Kriger.[1]
Early Life
Solway was born and raised in Mt. Airy, Philadelphia[2] and attended Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy.[3] He studied English at University of Maryland, where he wrote for the student newspaper, The Diamondback.[4] Later he earned an MFA in Creative Writing from Temple University.
Career
In 2021, he served as Assistant Editor of the Southern New Jersey newspaper, Jewish Community Voice before joining Central Synagogue in 2025. Solway's poetry and short fiction have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize [5]and Best of the Net Anthology and featured in literary magazines One Artand Lost Balloon.
Solway has also freelanced for the Philadelphia Inquirer about the history of table tennis[6] and backgammon[7] as well as satirical articles for humor magazines Mcsweeney's [8]and SlackJaw[9].
Personal Life
Solway coaches table tennis at PingPod.[10] He is married to Jessica Stoltz, a lawyer. They live on the Upper East Side in New York City. [11]
