FémAlk Zrt is a Hungary-based company occupied within the heavy industry. It was founded in 1933 and currently operates at 3 different venues with over a 1000 employees. Casting[edit]
FémAlk’s main activity is high pressure aluminium die casting, a specific area of casting, in which molten aluminium is shot into the mold at high velocity. This allowes casting complicated shapes with little shrinkage.
The operations take place in the different venues, with over 40 casting machines, that vary from 250 to 1000 tons in temrs of closing force.
95% precent of which the machines are casting cells, meaning the casting processes on these are fully automated. Additionally, the parameters of the casts are constantly monitored.

Melting[edit]
In order to supply the casting, FémAlk melts the following alloys:
· EN AB-46000 (AlSi9Cu3(Fe))
· EN AB-44300 (AlSi12(Fe))
· EN AB-47100 (AlSi12Cu1(Fe))
· EN AB-51500 (AlMg5Si2Mn)
· Silafont-36 (AlSi9MgMn)
Machining and assembly[edit]
After casting, the product can be put through machining and assembly processes with respect to customer specifications, which include:
· Pressing threaded steel fitting
· Crimping
· Deburring
· CNC Machining (milling, drilling, threading, lathing)
· Specific
· Helicoil insertion
· Heat treatment
· Chipping
· Assembly
· Surface treatment
· Prototype manufacturing
History[edit]
On the 15th of July 1989 the first venture named Fémalk was formed, which is considered a legal predecessor to FémAlk Zrt. The original venture was transformed with respect to company formalities into its current state. Originally the ownership over the company was shared among many, however currently the majority of the shares belong to Dr. Sándor József, the founder of the company.
