F*ck Tea
The F*ck Tea campaign, launched in August 2010 by The Agenda Project, is aimed to "dismiss the Tea Party and promote the progressive cause," according to founder Erica Payne.[1] The campaign sells merchandise such as mugs and T-Shirts,[2] and included polling statistics demonstrating the ignorance of the Tea Party, as well as a statirical video.[3]
According to Payne, the Tea Party began in response to the bank bailouts to push against the bought-and-paid-for politicians, which she appreciated. However, they quickly turned to social issues, for example, by attacking healthcare. They abandoned financial regulation.[4]
