A Footlong Egg Wrapped Around, also known by its acronym FEWA, is a Filipino hot dog sandwich consisting of a footlong hotdog wrapped in a vegetable omelette of shredded cabbage, cheese, mayonnaise and banana ketchup and served on a toasted footlong hotdog bun. It is considered by the alumni of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines as one of its campus food.[1][2][3]
The creation of the snack is credited to Glaiza Rebamontan who, together with Zaldy Badiola, were both known by the nickname "Ate Virgin" and were the namesake of Virgin's Stall, the food stall that introduced and popularized the FEWA.[3] The stall was originally located at the North Wing of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Main Building.[4][5]
