FROM INSIDE are an English heavy metal band from Liverpool, England. Launched in 2017, the group consists of lead vocalist Simon Mora, guitarist Thomas Booth, bassist Bam Roberts and drummer George Collings. They have released two EP's; "The New Era" in 2017 and "When I'm Breathing Without You" in 2018. The band's works are often categorised within the metalcore and post-hardcore genres.
History
Formation and The New Era EP (2016-2017)
The band launched at the start of 2017, releasing a music video for their debut single ‘Find My Way’ - which depicts the fictional story of how each member joined the band. Premiered via Kerrang! Radio to a great response, the track was followed almost immediately by the release of their debut EP ‘The New Era’ on Friday 13th January 2017. After selling out their hometown EP release show the band released another video with their second single ‘Be Yourself’ (which regularly aired on Scuzz TV), to support two successful UK headline tours.[1]
When I'm Breathing Without You EP (2018-present)
When I'm Breathing Without You was released on September 14th 2018. The band issued a statement on the message behind the EP; “The message is clear and simple… life can be difficult at times, but through hope and perseverance you will one day come through on the other side to find a better life. The past is in the past, the future is what is important”.[2]
Musical style
The band has been recommended for listeners of bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Linkin Park, The Amity Affliction and Bury Tomorrow.[3] [4]
Influences
In an interview with Tattoo.com, the band said "We are definitely influenced by the old skool sound of Linkin Park’s Meteora and Hybrid Theory albums however we bring a more modern & unique spin on things".[5]
