Faatemah Ampey
Faatemah Ampey is a Minneapolis-based hair stylist and business owner, notable for her appearance on the television show Shear Genius and for her advocacy in the wake of the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.[1][2] Ampey is known as a "celebrity stylist".
In 2019, while serving as a panelist at a “Wear Your Crown” event, Ampey declared “There’s never been a better time for Black women in history."[3] In 2020, Ampey helped lead the movement to rebuild and beautify the Lyn-Lake neighborhood after a summer of social unrest in the neighborhood.[4][5]
