Fabio Strinati (* January 19, 1983 in San Severino Marche, Italy) is an Italian poet, pianist, and composer. He publishes in literary magazines and Italian small press. Some of his poetry has been translated into several languages and published in bilingual books or e-zines.
Life[edit]
At the age of 15, Strinati quit school and started to work for a cable factory..[1] He completed his education self-taught and dealt intensely with the philosophy of Pierre-Joseph Proudhon.[1] He studied regional dialects and minority languages, and hecollaborates with the Italian magazine Etnie[2] and the literary magazine El Ghibli[3]. Strinati is a pianist and composer[4] and worked with the pianist Fabrizio Ottaviucci. As Esperantist he publishes some of his texts in the Esperanto language[5]
Stinati's literary debut was the book of poetry Pensieri nello scrigno. Nelle spighe di grano è il ritmo, in 2014. In Fall 2015, the book has been presented by the actress Maria Rosaria Omaggio in the Teatro Lo Spazio in Rome.[4] Since then, the author has published more than twenty books with poetry and aphorisms. Some shorter works have been published in magazines and e-zines, e.g. Il Segnale, Il Grandevetro, Erba d'Arno and 451 Via della Letteratura, della Szienza e dell'Arte. the Catalan poet and linguist Carles Duarte i Montserrat translated some of Strinati's poems into Catalan[6][7], the Austrian writer Klaus Ebner into German[8]. Fabio Strinati publishes predominantly in the small press of Italy. There are also translations in the Croatian[9], Albianian[10], Bosnian, Spanish and English languages.[4]
Fabio Strinati lives in Esanatoglia in the Italian region Marche.
