Fabric Ventures is a pan-European venture capital firm based in London, United Kingdom, with core personnel distributed between London, Luxembourg, and Paris.[1] The firm primarily invests in companies enabling the democratisation of data and user sovereignty and/or operating on decentralised networks, at Seed stage, with an investment range from €50k to €1 million.[2][3]

History[edit]

The firm was established in 2017 by Richard Muirhead and his colleagues from OpenOcean, Max Mersch and Anastasiya Belyaeva.[4] Prior to joining the OpenOcean partnership, Richard founded Orchestream with his brother Charlie Muirhead (acquired by Oracle[5]) and Tideway (acquired by BMC Software[6]) and served as interim CEO at Automic before it was acquired by CA Technologies.[7] Before joining Automic, he founded Firestartr, an investment syndicate where he would later meet Anastasiya.[8]
