Fabyan Parkway is a major east-west road in DuPage and Kane counties, Illinois. It starts at a roundabout on Main Street Road west of Batavia and ends on IL 38 in West Chicago, a distance of 9.5 miles.[1] It passes through Geneva, Batavia, and West Chicago.
Route Description
Fabyan Parkway begins at a roundabout with Main Street Road and Bliss Road west of Batavia. It then intersects Hughes Road and Kaneville Road, both Kane County Highways. Then, it intersects Randall Road in a major industrial complex. Fabyan Parkway then forms the border between Batavia and Geneva. After a junction with IL 31, it crosses the Fox River to intersect with IL 25. After an intersection with Kirk Road, it crosses the DuPage-Kane Border into West Chicago. Fabyan Parkway ends on IL 38 in West Chicago.
History
The Fabyan Villa, just north of Fabyan Parkway's intersection with IL 31, was the home of George Fabyan from 1908 to 1939.[2] The villa is notable for its 1907 remodeling by Frank Lloyd Wright and its Japanese garden, built in 1910 by T. R. Otsuka. The Forest Preserve District of Kane County manages both the villa and the garden.
