Faction is the debut Extended play by the American Mathcore band Botch. The EP was released in 7" format in 1995;[2][3] and its songs were later re-released as part of The Unifying Themes of Sex, Death and Religion and Unifying Themes Redux.
Faction was recorded on 8 tracks in March 1995[4] at Jake Snider's house.[5] Some copies of the record have a black and white cover, while others have an alternate pink cover.[6] The EP was later re-pressed for the group's 1997 tour and included an extra sleeve.[7]
